Default New here!

Hello,
My name is Allie. My husband and I have been married for about a year and a half, together for 3 1/2. We have a 1 year old little boy. Since we started dating he had told me that he would become a SEAL one day. That after high school, he would be enlisting. I just kind of rolled my eyes and thought "no way..he can't leave me." Yea, I was selfish..haha..I wanted him all to myself. Well, this past April a recruiter came into my hubby's workplace and talked to him about the Navy. Not really trying to recruit him, just talking because hubby has always been interested in the Navy. He has wanted to become a SEAL since he was like 8.

I had always put the brakes on him joining the Navy. It scared me. I didn't want him leaving. After the recruiter left his work, we started talking. We both realized that him joining was something he had to do, and I really wanted him to to do. It was a great option for our little family. With his economy, we knew we were making the right decision. It just made me so happy knowing that he was going to get to fullfill his dream!

That night we went down to the recruiting office and got started. He enlisted in May of this year, and signed his SEAL contract in July. I couldn't be more proud of him. He is so excited, nervous, and anxious to get all of this started! I am just beaming typing about this!

I'm thankful that I found this site. I know I will have many questions as we transition through this process. After reading some of the other posts here, I already feel tons better!

If there is any information you could lend me about personal experiences through BUDs, having your loved ones go through BUDs, or guys on here that went through it how it was for their familes.

We are now trying to decide if I should join him in Coronado after Hell week, or stay back in Oklahoma. I need all the advice I can take!
Thanks!
