The following is a testimonial regarding the WOD that was sent to Mark.

G'day Mark,

It may not mean much but I thought I would mention it anyway. The WOD that you and your team posts are awesome. I hope people that do them, find as much a challenge as I do and in a sick way enjoy logging on to see what the next day may have install.

I have been doing your's and Crossfit WOD for approximately 12 months and there is nothing that comes close to the work out they offer, as long as you go past being able to count what round or number in the round you are upto.

Keep up the good work.

J

NSC, I am not sure who I am specifically sending this message to but it is just a general note for the website as a whole. The other day, while doing the workout, 5 RFT: 25 Deadlift (135 lbs.), 50 pushups, 25 KB swings (50 lbs.), 50 situps, I hit a wall at the middle of round two. I am attending the Naval Academy next year and started doing your workouts about a year ago. Anyway, I didn't even think I could complete three of the rounds, and I was pretty pissed off. I started thinking about what you all had said about "Invictus" and all of the other warrior traits. I decided to finish no matter how long it took. It took me exacty an hour and a half (1:30) to finish the workout, but I felt so good after doing it. I am sore as hell today and I have a lacrosse game tonight but your words in the "notes" section of the workouts really helped me out when I needed it. I appreciate the free workouts everyday and the information you all constantly provide.

I took a visit to the Naval Academy last weekend, and both of the midshipmen I stayed with were trying to service select SEALs; they said that the number one thing that they do to get ready for the BUD/S Screener at the Academy is the SEALFit workouts. Just wanted to let you all know that your efforts are helping so many. Thanks so much for all that you do

As usual, another genius WOD. Did about 20 rounds in all. Lost track of rounds about 5 mins in, but I think 20 is pretty darn close.

58 min. I'm amazed at the progress I've had in the past two months with Navy Seal WOD, in both physical and mental strength. THANK YOU!!!

The NSC workouts come from the US Crossfit website. The administrator will juice up our workout from the site, so if Heavy Fran was their Thursday WOD, then it will be ours on Friday, or very similar to it.
This statement is a good guess, but not entirely true. We are the same company, but Alex programs the USCrossFit WOD and it is the WOD we do at our CrossFit affiliate gym in Encinitas. Alex also programs the SEAL Fit WODs, which combine a CrossFit WOD with an endurance running and swimming program - designed for Pre-SOF candidates. I program the NavySEALs.com WOD, which is designed for serious military operators. There is more volume in the NSC WODs than a new pre-SOF candidate will want to attempt, unless they have been training for some time. The USCF programming is 6 days a week, like NSC, but we recommend 3 on, 1 off, or 4 on, 1 off, depending on the conditioning level and schedule of our athletes. For NSC we recommend doing these WODs at least 3x a week, and know that an operators schedule is such that periodicity is always a challenge in the field, so that you may be a few days behind, or skip. The volume of work is heavy because the conditioning level of an operator needs to be on par with elite athletes, AND they must learn to over-train to meet the stress of the unknown in combat. These WODs are NOT designed to allow you to optimize any specific sports endeavor, nor even max the PST - rather they are designed to allow the operator to be unconquerable on the battlefield. Hope that helps.

Mark

Mark:

I think I'm suffering from Stockholm Syndrome... I miss the pain and challenge of SEAL fit so much, I can't wait to come back and do it again... You, Coach Rob and Taco have gotten under my skin and changed my life in some profound ways! I can't thank you guys enough.

I'm confident that you, Michael and I could work together on some fantastic projects; I'm looking forward to our paths crossing again soon.

Hoo-yah.

Your friend,

D

Mark,

How are you doing? I have been a SEAL Fit Subsciber for about 10 months now and the workouts have helped me tremendously. I am unsubscribing from the SEAL Fit coaching because I ship out to Great Lakes, IL in exactly 3 weeks from today with a SEAL Challenge contract. I appreciate all the time you put into creating those workouts and how in depth they are. Thanks for everything.

Sincerely,
PT

Mark, just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how glad I am to see you guys at SealFit using that kind of exercise prescription for your clients. I'm glad to see the military community is slowly but surely catching on to the science of physical training. I'm one of the Strength & Conditioning coaches at the Naval Special Warfare Prep Course in Great Lakes, as well as a CrossFit Instructor, and a former U.S. Marine, so I'm always glad to see programs like yours doing well! Take care man.
