Default Diet for daily pst's.

Most of the time on weekends I take saturdays and sundays and hall butt up to the ymca early as they open (sundays, i go to a local lake.), and i swim the 500 yards, do my pushup, situps, then pullups, and of course then the mile and a half run. Later i do calisthenics with a buddy who is a TACP. Hes a beast and makes me push myself. But i always find that whenever i do pullups whether it be after i swim or after some squats or flutter kicks, even if i havent done anything before, It never fails, i get severely sick to my stomach. Is this my diet, or am i breathing wrong doing my pulls ups?

Any experienced guys ever heard of this?

And anyone got any advice?

(When i qualified for my seal contract this allowed me to only get 7 pullups, because i ended up throwing up mid 8th pullup.)

Over the years, experience has shown me that vomiting during or immediately after a workout is due in most cases to inadequate hydration and electrolyte imbalance. So, are you hydrating BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER your workouts? Are you just using water, or, are you including something with electrolytes?

I drink water daily. But i suppose i probably could drink more. Its wierd because it only happens while im doing pull ups. I focus on my breathing then my stomach burns and i start getting sick to my stomach. Is there a certain breathing technique? Ill try hydrating a little more before and during to make sure thats not it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Water is good, but, it doesn't contain any electrolytes. Consider making up a batch of 50% strength gatorade or a similar sports drink. The reason this happens during or around your pull-ups is likely because pull-ups are the highest intensity exercise of those you listed doing. Add to that fact that you're probably already depleted somewhat at that point, and it's not unreasonable to see guys puking.

Do you take a daily multi? If not...start.

In the end it's like Arnold said, "you haven't had a good workout until you throw up!"

Ok, I have a multi vitamin but never started taking it. Ill make sure I start that. And i do drink water pretty much all day, but ill throw some gatorade in there. Sounds like it could do the trick. Thanks alot!
