I was just curious about those who volunteer at boot for SEALs without a SEAL challenge contract. If they pass the pft are they garunteed a slot at BUD/S or do they have to be selected ?

i *think* the only way u'll ever be garunteed to go to BUD/s is with the contract, least thats what i gathered from other posts and a little intuition.

Yeah I just wanted to make sure. I'm just trying find other routes to BUD/S without the SEAL challenge in case I can't get it for some reason.

im by no means sayin u cant get to BUD/s without that contract, u may very well pass the PFT at boot and get ur shot.. but .. i believe the only way to have a *garunteed* slot at BUD/s is to have the SEAL Challenge contract. maybe a BTDT can verify this?
