Oh hey man, things are good. Football's ok although I wish I was a senior, because seniors get all the plays. As for Pueblo I can't say, I don't follow them, I just go down there and eat and look at all those fine *** chicks. For the most part im doing ok, but I do see a lot of the same people.
Where are you now? It thought you lived in Pueblo, no? It's good to hear you are still with the program and livin the good life. Where you are doesn't have Fine *** chicks?LOL You must be going to military school.LOL

Im in Jeffco, originally from Pueblo. I go to Pueblo all the time to see family, im going again for the state fair. To me it seems like the hoes down in Pue-town are way too hot, must be somethin in that water.

Dang, I didn't know that. I was just there the end of July. Let me tell ya, I know you are young but man there are wayyy too many people there.LOL So what school you going to in JeffCo. Green Mtn, Lakewood, Bear Creak or one of the many new ones they have built? BTW, it was Lakewood that killed us in 64 state chanpionship game.LOL they had a running back by the name of Steve Tracy. this guys was as fast as the wind and was a powerful runner. Interesting point, I never heard of him doing anything in College.(footbal wise). Yea I remember the State Fair in Pueblo, used to be a blast.

I go to Jefferson, it's in Edgewater. Not that new, it was built in the 1950's. I did go to North Denver, but that school seemed rather dangerous to my parents, lol. Oh and today was the first day of school.....what a drag.

Your supposed to be fired up, ready to go learn. Seriously, it is important to do as well as you can in HS. I f^^^ed up and it followed me around like a cloud over my head for a long time. Use your time wisely. Look at it this way, it is a job. You "work" from 0800 to 1500. AND you get paid to do it.LOL

I figured you would want an explanation of that little tidbit.LOL This is what I tell my kids, It cost the taxpayer a certain amount of money to send each student thouhg school. This is called a FTE, or full time equivalent. This amount of money is what you are being paid. If we did not have "free" education through grade 12, you would have to pay this for your education. Ergo, you are being paid.LOL

Cool. I would do history, much more interesting.LOL Every teacher does alot of grading, but english teachers, by definition are always grading.

cool. My wife and I almost got there when we were back there but then I remembered an apple cider stand we used to go to in Lyons, but when we got there, it had been replaced by a nursery. Dam. We didn't turn back because we figured Estes Park woul be as overgrown as every other place in MY mountains.LOL hope you ahve a blast. I had a few there in my college years.
That damn dope phase I had really messed me up for awhile, lol....

Hey finally gettin back to ya. Estes was great, never been there before. I bought 3 knives, lol. Been out and about too, just got my license.

Just chekin to see how you're doing. Used to go to Estes in 65 for fun and games.LOL It's still a tourist trap, isn't it? hope you don't get in the trouble with your license that I did. My "old man" used to say I did great till I got my license, then things went to hell in a handbasket.Hehe I had to get a waiver to get in the Army in a time when they would take you if you were still breathing.LOL(too many tickets). I even spent a few hours in the Colo Spngs Jail for not being able to post bond on a speeding ticket.
How are ya doin? I haven't been on these pushes much in the last couple of months, lots going on. I notice you guys(Denver) had a little snow on Holloween. In the 20 years I leved in Denver, I'll bet the weather turned bad on holloween in 18 of them. Can't tell ya how many times I took my kids "trick or treaten" in blustery, cold, or snowy conditions.
How's school going? Getting all "A's"? Ok, ok, how bout "B's". This is your Junior year, right? One more to go? What's your plan when you get out? Give me a holler.

Hey man, I take a peek at these forums maybe once a week. Happy to know im in the back of your head. Yep Estes Park sure is a trap, I bought myself a butterfly knife and a cowboy hat up there lol. Yeah it snowed but not bad, more slush than snow in my area anyway. Yeah I did get stopped once so far, no trouble. Cop just yelled at me pretty bad is all, I had a good story to back my situation up lol. I have a truck too, 85 GMC 4x4 and I cant wait till next summer, im gonna go rampagin down in the Westcliffe area. Ah school, im a junior but the place is too much man. i 2nd that... i ended up getting my GED ... mainly because i was like "im goin to colllege anyhow, wtf does it matter how i get there" .... but all it does is complicate things... even though technically its the same thing, it just all around makes doing things go a little tougher, and raises the standards, cuz u have to prove your not an idiot. I dont know your story, or ur intelectual background, but its not hard for me to prove im not an idiot, u may very well be the same way, quite intelligent and it really wont effect u cuz u can just prove that anywayz, but the question to u.. would be ... y make urself have to prove it everytime u want something.
also, a few facts for u, that i have run into since i got my ged back in feb.
to enlist in the Marines/Navy/Air Force with a GED .. you pretty much MUST have 15 college credits. there is an exception, if u score high enough on the ASVAB they'll let u in .. but its really hard for ur recruiter to get u in or something... im in the proccess of pickin up 15 credits... i'd much rather be serving myc ountry right now.
this one im not too sure about... i've been told from the Army recruiter this... but then told by someone else that it wasnt true... so.. i dunno, u can find out for urself if u like.. .but supposedly, when u enlist with a GED .. u dont get the enlistment bonus... one would think if u score high enough on ur ASVAB that they'd give it to u anywayz .. for the same reason the Marines/Navy/Air Force will take u without 15 credits.. but... who knows.... anywayz.. thats a few things to think about if ur thinkin about gettin ur GED .... unless its some extra ordinary scenerio ... i'd highly recommend not doing it.

Westcliffe is a small country town at the base of the Sangre De Cristos, great place to go for outdoor activites, surprised you haven't heard of it.

My mom tells me that everytime I complain lol, yeah its my plan to graduate. I've suffered all these years through school, I don't see a reason to just quit for no reason now.
MJ, that's some fine advice to me and anyone else who may be dragging with school. I have considered dropping out but, like I told A62, I've suffered all these years and i'll be damned if I don't let it pay off.
