well the army took me. i got meps tomorro morning 4:30 am. im gunna either go SF or ranger. which ever has a slot open. ill fill you in with what job i got a stuff tomorro afternoon when i get home. dont think just cause im going army i dont wanna be a SEAL maybe if i make rangers or SF in 4 or 8 years i can join the navy and see if i can finaly make my goal and become a SEAL. well ill fill you in tomorro

Aim small, miss small. Don't worry about the NAVY do the best you can with whatever contract you get.

well im shipping out august 31st. and i couldent get SF or ranger in my contract because of the wavier i had to get. they wanna make sure i can get through bootcamp first i guess. but they all told me once im done infantry training i should be able to do airborne and all that stuff. so yeah im pretty happy and i cant wait to see how far i make it. my top goal is SF and i got 4 years to work on it so wish me luck :). i gotta take my PT test saturday and if i pass i get bumped upto E-3. i also got 14,000 bonus for infantry. and 3,000 for my college credits. but ill keep everyone informed on whats going on. thx for the support alot of you helped me alot through all the crap i went through. thx. ill deff post again befor i leave for good and say my final good bye.

Awesome news. Where are you going for boot, Georgia or S. Carolina. I fly into Columbia, South Carolina alot for work meetings and get to talk to the new recruits. Just wondering, good luck with everything.

Heh, be careful. A graduate came into my high school classroom and told the teacher he was going to Iraq for at least 18 months, but he'd be getting paid over $50,000 for it. He also mentioned how everyone he knows remembered their basic training as the gold old days, but he didn't because he had it rough at Fort Benning... at least that's what he said. Maybe it's just his imagination and For Benning isn't harder than any other basic training location.

yeah i have no idea if all bootcamps are the same or ones harder then the other i really dont mind ill be all set

My Brother went through Fort Lawton in Oklahoma. He was signed for Military Intelligence, but somehow go re-classed to Military police(guess from the war), and does some intel work in there. If you got some questions, I can ask him for ya.
