For most my life i have wanted to be a SEAL and now its time to enlist for the Navy, and start my journey. I was wondering though if a couple yeas of college would help out when im at Bud/s , or if it wouldn't make any difference?

I think college would help a ton. It makes you more mature and helps you emotionally get through difficult situations which you will obviously need. Plus it's one helluva good time. Also, a couple years would help, but graduating would be better. haha. Also, go somewhere with a good ROTC program and get involved in it. That can be invalueable

yeah I plan on going in after a 4-year degree in political science, thats about a year and 1/2 from now. I agree my maturity level and focus can't even be compared to when I got out of high school 3 years ago. The only thing that is really worring me is the dreaded DOR and to the fleet I would go as a 26 year old rookie. That would not be a good time, but I guess thats all the more motivation during BUDs
