lol Woodsball is the way to go!! I want to find a place to do a CQB kind of thing. Thats why I'm thinking about getting an airsoft gun like an MP5 or an M-4. Because there're some really pimp CQB airsoft places around. But as far as guns I have a custom tippman pro carbine and I'll swear by tippys!!

I play woodball. and if were feel like really getting into it, we'll just play in thick woods. I remember our games would sometimes go on for about 1.5 hr or so. I have a tippman 98 custom, with a bunch of custom mods.

Been playing paintball for quite some time know. I love all types, woodsball, speedball, indoor, tournament its all great. I've owned many guns over the years starting with a Brass Eagle Stingray, Various Spyders, Palmers Pursuit Blazers, Mechanical Auto****ers, Mags, upgraded Model 98, and my newest baby an E-bladed Black magic Auto****er.

Yeah I also play woodsball. Sometimes speedball but mostly woodsball. I have a tippmann 98 custom and a custom phantom stock class. just a suggestion, but if you want to get really good at paintball then get a pump or a stock class marker. you rely more on tactics and skill than your actual gun. im not saying im the best paintball player but i have improved tremendously since i purchased my phantom stock class. plus it make paintball the much more fun. Again just a suggestion.

tippmanns are really nice, a lot of my friends have them. What kind of stuff do you guys have? (mask, hopper, barrel,) I have a dye proto mask, viewloader electronic hopper (cant remember the exact name), 16 inch dye ultralite barrel. Do you use co2 or nos? I use co2 seeing as i dont really need nos.
Freak, do you have a freak barrel? Do you use nos or anti siphon cause i hear that the auto****ers will mess up a lot if you dont have one of those.

As you can tell by my name, I ghillied up almost every thing that has to do with paintball. Except for my phantom stock class i want that to stay nice and shiny so people can call me crazy for bringing a pump gun into a semi auto game. I just have the regular hopper for my tippmann and ten round tubes for my phantom. I have a JT thermal mask that is all gillied up and just another regular jt mask. On my tippmann I have the armson stealth barrel and on my phantom I have the stock barrel because you dont need another barrel because its already accurate as hell. I use compressed air for my tippmann and those little 12 gram co2 capsules for my phantom. Well I think thats all the stuff I have.

I painted my tippy blue. i have green dye grips. smart parts all american barrel and a 2x trigger on her. My 12 oz tank broke and I havent played since then
I played paintball for roughly two years. I simply didn't have enough free-time to continue so My gear has been collecting dust. But I'm hoping to start up again in a few months.
I only have six acres of properity, but it's a good six acres. Three are thick woods, the gaps in the foilage and potholes I dug out to use as ambush points are still there. The other three acres have two sheds and a ditch. (Complete with a footbridge)
Equipment wise I only purchase weapons and masks. The body padding is homemade. My favortie way to make it is to buy a cheap archery target and rip the interior out. Not only does it take the sting off getting hit, it also acts as insulation in the winter.
so people can call me crazy for bringing a pump gun into a semi auto game.
Pump guns are all I've ever used in an actual game. One day I'd like to own a semi or even an auto, but in my opinion the best kind of match is a pump exclusive. Adds more of a challenge to it.

I disagree. I have used a pump gun before, but never owned one. I think I am pretty good at paintball, and have only used a pump gun once or twice. Using a pump in a semi auto game is hard, but your not able to help your teamates. You can't lay down cover fire if you only have a pump. If you have ever played speedball, you know the field is so small you can shoot to the other side easily. This means that your team needs tons of stategy, communication, and general teamwork to win.
I have also played woodsball in a larger area. In fact, that is what I play most often. I still find my semi auto helpfull in these games. You can use it to lay down cover fire for your teamates, and to keep someone's head down sow that you can move. You can't do those things with a pump. One of my favorite strategies is to have one of my teamates or me lay down just enough fire to keep the person occupied, and then have the other person sneak up on the side and flank them. I also like to sneak along the edge of the field and come up behind the other team. Just because I use a semi auto doesn't mean I use tons of paint. I just use it so that one of my teamates or me can lay down cover fire (if needed) so the other teamates can advance or make some other move (flanking, ect.)
Its really just a matter of preference.

Oh no doubt that semi's are usefull. I love it when I lay down cover fire for myself or a teammate and then when they are still occupied on that positiion just sneak around behind them or to the side and shoot them from a different angle. The look on their face is what I like the most. The look of surprise, the look of I should have known what they were doing. Hahahaha. Yeah but anyways, I use my pump a lot in speedball, and I hold my own. I still get shot a lot but I manage to take out a few of them with me. Also in woods ball you can lay cover fire with a pump. All you need is 2-5 balls and they'll keep their head down or ill shoot them in the mask when they pop up. Plus when I use my phantom i usually go ghillie and play the scout/sniper roll. So I usually wait and take the shot that counts instead of eliminatin everyone I see, because if I did that then I would get slaughtered.
I hardly use any paint with my semi auto either. For about a full day of paintball I usually use 4-500 paintballs. I see other people use that much in one game or even 1/2 a game. Just like you siad, Its a matter of preference. I like using both but I prefer pump(stock) play.

I only use about 500 balls a whole day too. Some guys use so much paint though, I have seen someone go through 2000 rounds in one match! Thats like 50-80 dollars of paint just for one match!

I do have a Freak barrel for my amongst other. I am trying to sell it actually. Also I run my gun on Nitro, you can use anti-siphon CO2 and it wont harm your auto****er, also if you have good regs set up properly you can use regular CO2. If you are planing to do that I would reccomend a Palmers Pursuit Stabilizer reg, they will pretty much eliminate any chance of liquid carbon dioxide getting into to your valve and other things inside your gun.
