Im on week 4 of both catrgory one workouts(I stopped for a lil while but now im up and running again) but I'd like to know how often i should test my PT scores, and when(day) should i test um, so I dont over-stress any muscles for the weekly PT.

mike,

It is totally up to you. I try and do one every friday, so that I know where I'm at and what my weakest event is. It gives me alot of motivation. You won't see improvement on everything, but something always gets better.

Warning order workout is good and doing the pft once a week is ok but if you want something to get you ready for the pft get stew smith's book. I had it and got my scores to great numbers. You only do the pft 4 times over the course of 12 weeks. Doing it week to week won't show you a ton of improvement. Every three to four weeks does however. My scores were:

8:10 Swim
126 pushups
94 situps
29 pullups
9:04 run

Just some food for thought.

hey where did u get your Stew Smith Book. This website doesnt have it , and i orderd it from another web site but its on back order, i just ordered it from Amazon . com but i dont trust that website much. it said my order has a delay and should be here by tuesday but i wont trust that till i see it. i hope they have it, cuz i really want it. I've been using the US Navy SEAL workout DVD and Scott Helvenstons Video Set. I have also taken training from my friends dad who is a SEAL and used to be a SEAL Instructor. I run 4 days a week, swim 1000m - 1600m every day, and do my SEAL workouts 5 days a week mon-fri. I'm in pretty good shape right now. I started out not even being able to do 1 pullup and now i can do 8. I have NROTC Bootcamp for College in a week, I am going to destroy this lil BOOTCAMP for everything its worth. I am so well prepared because of my assperations and desire to become a US Navy SEAL. I would like to thank all of the SEALs on this website that have helped me along the way, I live in Coronado and went to Coronado High School. So i see the BUD/s trainees every day when i workout down at NAB. It is such a motivation to watch them PT at the same time while i PT. HOO YAH!!!

If you have a lat least a year before you plan on going to BUD/S like I do you might want to check out Stew Smith 's book Maximum Fitness: The Complete Guide to Navy Seal Cross Training. It has a few PFT's built into it, but mostly it is a year long workout program. I'm only 5 weeks into it and my PFT numbers have dramatically improved. You can get it on this site if you want it.
