well writing to a representitive didnt do anything navy still said no. so now i sent my papers into the airforce see what they say. the airforce recruiter said they have put ppl in with my surgery befor and he doesnt see qa problem with it. so i guess i just gotta wait and see. he said it could take 1 week or 1 month. im going in to either be a PJ or combat controller. i think i want combat controller more. so if all works out ill let you all know and ill be one happy guy :)

doesnt matter any more the airforce turned me down to. i dont even know what to do any more all i want is to join the miltary. i wanna join so bad its horrible. this crap just doesnt make any sence my surgery is so minor and so simple. i have no side effects or anything. you wouldent ever be able to tell i even have it. i dunno i feel lost. i called the army but im sure they will say no as well. so i dunno my road to special force's looks like a dead end :( :( :(

in a time of war when i know we need more troops i dont understand turning down a kid like me who really wants to join. just doesnt make sence

what kind of surgery did you have? (sorry if i missed your post about it) And are they turning you down just for Special Forces or for military service as a whole? if just SF, ever think about joining the Marines?? They were my choice until i found that the Navy accepts eye surgery for SF.

they are turning me down for the military as a whole. not just SEALs or SF. and my surgery was to fix acid reflux. i just called the army. they are coming to pick up my medical documents now. so i dunno im not gunna get to happy cause every recruiter keeps telling me "doesnt seem like a problem we can get you in" but then 2 weeks later i get nailed with crappy news. so i dunno we'll see again

i dunno i talked to the recruiter for 5 minutes and i came to the conclusion the army guys are morons. i told him how i wanted to be a SEAL and hes like well the SEALs or ok in the water but when they get on land they dont know **** . rangers and SF are way more badass and you shoulda came to me first blah blah blah. then i told him i tryed for air force combat controller and he went on about how the air force is the *****est branch and they dont have crap for special forces. he just seemed like he knew less about special forces then i do and ive never even served. but i dunno they cant all be bad. might as well try

Sorry of your situation , thats pretty crappy we as a country need more guys like you in the military that give a damn and aren't just in it because they don't know what to do with their lives. It might be a small consolation but my second option too is serving at home. I'm shooting for the FBI, and hopefully their hostage rescue team after 4 yrs in the bureau. You want to talk badass these guys are it...lol Or the DEA of ATF. Just a couple of ideas for you, hope everything works out!

yeah ive looked into the FBI. my aunts brother is in the FBI i talked to him about how to get in and he said you really need 4 years of college. and you need to be alittle bit older then i am. but deff FBI looks sweet. but i figure if i can put 4 years in some kind of armed serves then getting into all the stuff i want will be way easyer.

Hey Ross, sorry to hear about that, I know how hard you have been training. Stick with it and don't take no for an answer. Have you spoken to Buddy about this? There is a SEAL out of Oklahoma, I won't say his name, M.K. -who is very good at making things happen. Made things happen for me. It is worth looking into. Good luck....

yeah i had buddy write me a letter of recommendation. but it didnt work. i even wrote to a repressentitive in congress but nothing. but hope fully the army will take me then in 4 years when my times done ill try and get back into the navy. the navy is really where my heart is and becoming a SEAL is something thats never gunna go away until i do it. so if i gotta jump through some hoops first ill do it. whatever it takes
