I am not quite old enough to join the navy, but have wanted to be a SEAL for as long as I can remember. Anyways, i have been to several sites to get information on what I can do now to prepare myself when the time comes. However, i wanted to get a personal opinion on any suggestions anyone might have of where to go, what to get, or what to do to help get me ready for when i actually join. Thank you for your comments

Run, swim, be healthy, workout...Sounds easy, well try the Navy SEAL workout, and try reading a few of these posts here. There is a lot of good info here.

Under the Navy Seals Button above a drop down menu will reflect the Navy SEALs work out. If your budget will allow, get that SEALs work out.

In addition if you have a creek or river nearby take exercies in the creek or river. When you get cold, stay another 5 minutes. Then next time when you get cold, stay another ten minutes......and so on. The cold attacks the mental resistance of the BUDS trainee. And when the mind says it is time to quit the BUDS trainee quits. Don't be a quiter. Train your mind to accept cold beyond your current thinking. If nothing else, use your bathtub.

And Good Luck Plywog

I hear that your body can withstand stress 10 times more than what your mind tells you. When you're doing calisthenics or running and your mind says, "time to go home" or "time to quit", how do you know about how much further you should push yourself before actually doing damage?
