If this old mans memory serves him right, there were only three times when you put your boat on the beach.
1- Inserting or picking up troops.
2- Night "bush.
3- Boat so full of holes it was probibly going to sink.
What he did was put his crew and boat in unnecessary risk. He should have ( in my opinion ) been bought up on charges.
