Can Diabetics be SEALS?

i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last september. since april of last year i have been training for BUD/s and am very determined and dedicated to be a SEAL. So now, at 15, i was wondering if anybody could help me and tell me if it is possible for somone who does have somthing like diabetes to be a SEAL. thanks. -J

hello i was reading ur message board and i thought i would reply .....im not a navy seal but like u i was very dedicated to training and conditioning for bud/s,and like you i am16 and a diabetic ,i recently talked to the naval recruter at my school and he told me that since i am i diabetic i am disqualified from any branch of the military, when he told me this i was devistated, being diabetic sux and there is nothin we can do about it but you can still join the police force or s.w.a.t team if u would like to continue a career in special forces/operations. go to ur local police station and ask them questions about joining im sure they would be more than happy to assist u in trying to get ona s.w.a.t team
