Im doing the workout plan they have on thsi website, im on the second day of week 1 of the category 1 workout.
The first day i was able to finish teh 2 miles in 16 minutes, today i put a 10 pound weight on my backpack and ran with it. I was also able to acomplish a 16 minute time. Is this a good idea or not?

I'm not a SEAL and I'm working through the PT workout myself. Just remember that the workout is designed to build up gradually and condition you gradually. Although you may be "capable" of accomplishing more at the start, the further you go, the harder it gets. If you push yourself too hard at the start, it could lead to injuries because your body has not been sufficiently conditioned. In fact, after a few weeks of intense running, your legs or ankles may give out completely. (And of course, this sets you back way further than you ever moved ahead.) Of course, only you can listen to your body and decide how much is enough and how much is too much. I recommend sticking with the program at least the first time through.
