First off, I would like to thank you for helping me and everyone on this site, especially since you are on the teams, and have time for both. I highly respect you for that feat.

I would like to ask you a few questions, but first let me fill you in on my stats.

My name is Josh, I am currently 16 years old and am a Jr. in highschool. I run about 4 miles a day and swim as much as I can. I am 5' 6" and weigh 130, I am in good shape (In civillian perspective :) ) and have been wanting to be a SEAL for as long as I can even remember, I would sacrifice anything for a spot on the teams. I am going to join the swim team when the season rolls along, and I cant wait to swim miles and miles a day. But I have a few little questions and you seem like the SEAL advice guy. So here I go.

I have read alot about the 50 meter underwater swim (Or have they changed it to 70). You must swim very far underwater and you cannot break the surface nor pust off the wall with the exception on the way back. I tried swimming as far as I can underwater and lets say I diddnt get too far. It might be because of my baggy surf shorts, or that I just plain suck at it or need some serious help. Do you have any advice for holding my breath longer? I could hold my breath for a while when I am not moving though.

Secondly, I know how you guys laugh at the stupid hollywood videos and how retarded they make the actual life of a SEAL look like (Tears of the Sun) but I was wondering, is S.E.R.E training really like what it is in G.I. Jane?

Thrirdly don't laugh at my second question. (Just Kidding)

Lastly when should I contact my recruiter? I know people always say, its never too early to contact them, but I am not sure about that...

I would like to thank you very much for your help Digs, go KICK ***!

HOO-YAH!
