There is an old Discovery Channel documentary on counter/anti-terrorism the other night. Basically, they never mentioned Delta or DEVGRU, the entire thing centered around the Marine Corp's FAST units- do those still exist and are they in any way attached to/part of Force Recon? The show made it seem like they were just normal Infantry Marines who went through a course to become designated as the MEU's FAST team- I don't think that's accurate, but that's how I took it. Anyways, anyone who answers- thanks a lot!

Yes they still exist. No they are not part of FR. They come from the Marine Security Guard forces. They do security operations not DA missions. They are good men but not SFOD-D or DevGru or part of SOCOM.
