Best Route to be a Ranger?

i think that the best guranteed way to be a Ranger is the 11x, airborne ranger option 40, but risky for me cause i can be stuck with 11c, I ONLY WANT 11b.

the other choice i was thinking about was- get 11b, airborne on my contract and hope for a ranger liaison to come after airborne school and take volunteers. does anyone know if a ranger liason comes everytime to take volunteers, and if so, how many does he take with him?

If you want it get it in your contract, thats pretty much the only way to guarantee you will get a shot at it. 11X is another story, that is pretty much luck of the draw. They select the Bravo's, Charlies, and Hotel's (if they still have them) during OSUT. I think you can change later, but that might have to wait until its re-up time. I got Bravo, I dont recall how they selected the others, but there were not very many of them.
