If a war starts does all SEAL training get put on hold?
BUD/S stop for a war? No way! Why do you think that it would? It would continue on as normal as it always does...

All responsable questions about the Frogmen or SEALs are good questions, especially on this Board.
Durng WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam (not avoiding, but including, the other conflicts) Training continued as usual. If anything it was accelerated.

Correct, during the Vietnam era I hear it was BUD/S to the Rung Sat in about 6 months

Nope,the quicker they can get BUDS done the faster BUD graduates can move on to further training,to help get more newly minted SEALs out,and ready to fight.

I'm reading "SEAL!" by Lt. Cmdr. Walsh, he was saying that during the Vietnam War BUD/s classes were actually doubled. There was a great need for SEALs and not enough there. Also, the book says that Hell Week was actually taken out of BUD/S for a period of time.

When? I'd like to know the answer to that? Historians? I don't think so. It is the basic trust amoung(sp) warriors.

Sorry, the book doesn't give an exact date. But if you get a hold of the book, its on page 54.

Do BUD/S instructors still go to war? In that movie G.I jane the instructor went to war and if that was the case BUD/S would have to stop. I know its the movies but im just wondering if thats what happens.

Someone once mentioned that yes instructors can go back into active duty and that no BUD/S would not have to stop since instructors would be rotated...from what I remember. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable would be able to answer your question in more detail or correct me if I'm wrong. :)
