Whats with assignment to special boat units?

Im now enlisted but in DEP status until i finish my senior year in High School, and I have the seal challenge guarentee, but I read in a book on Navy Seals, that some seals get assigned to boating units rather than teams, does this happen to swccs only or can someone who went through all the normal bud/s/ seal training still be put on a seadl delivery team. I know about the whole dream sheet thing but I dont want to cart seals around while they get to go in, I want to be able to go in on missions and such. I was wondering if im guarenteed a spot on a team and not a boat unit, (Well if I make it through anyway)
Also I wanted to know how many seals percentage wise have mission experience.

Since this is archived I will answer for you. IF you make it through BUD/s you will go to either a team or a SDV team. SBU folks have their own training and work hand in hand with SEALs. You DO NOT go to SBU if you graduate BUD/s.
