Okay, to start, I tried to ask all my questions at once, so if you only feel like answering one or two, that’s fine by me. Anyway, I’m starting high school and I’m trying to get my career goals in line early. My whole life I’ve been looking into the special forces, and know I need to step up to the plate. So here it goes:
1. My main concern is family. I want to get married and have kids, but I’m not sure how realistic that is in a line of business such as that. I mean would I have any time to be with them? Will I ever really be around? And this brings me to my next question:
2. Any job like this will be dangerous, obviously. I also know that the danger changes with the mission, but since the SEALs are covert, I can never get numbers on the deaths. I know it’s a horrible thing to ask, but roughly how many people die doing SEALs missions? A lot, a little?
3. I’m a boxer right now, and I’m also going to start up the work out routine I got from the website. My only problem is, I have no access to a pool. Does anybody have any replacements or suggestions?
4. Is there any kind of academic work I should be really focusing on in high school to raise my success all around? I try to good all around, but I’m just wondering if there’s any area to really excel in.
5. The age to join the SEALs is 28, so from the time I finish high school to the age of 28 should I join another portion of the Navy or should I just get through college and focus on that family?
Thank you for all your help. I cant wait to read your responses.
