Correspondence Courses

Correspondence Courses worth anything? I know I get promotion points, but thats not what I'm after. I want the knowledge first and foremost. But will these courses help at all with the "expendability" factor? I'd like to think they serve more of a military-paperwork-bound purpose than just promotion points...

For Garrison processes, yes, in most cases.

For Fieldcraft, nope. Hands-on is the only way to go.
