Today is your lucky day...... The best advise I can give you for treading water is to use long sweeping motions, breath deeply and calmly, and don't overexurt yourself to much....relax. Now for drownproofing,.....I don't know first off what the evolutions are for drown proofing in PJ'S but for BUD/S the main thing is not to panic. If you post another message telling me what evolutions they do in PJ'S if they are similar I will post the information for those events.

Also, about improving your swimming, you should learn the Combat Sidestroke. I would have to show you what to do but I will give you a crash course on it: Basically you are doing the sidestroke, except the only difference is that you do not keep your head out of the water the entire time. stay submerged and exhale . to breath, simply role or turn your head toward the surface and breath. Keep your shoulders down in the water using your natural "BOUY" (LUNGS) as a floatation device. It will take alot of practice. I recommend Watching Terry Laughlin's " Total Emersion." You can order it from triatholon magazine or try looking on the computer. This is a great stroke for long distance, and is very energy efficient.
