Tips for BUD/S

I was wondering, what are some tips for getting throught BUD/S. Not physically or mentally because i know that's all up to the individual. But i have talked to some people who have gone through and said they took sinus medicine to make sure there would be no problem clearing their ears when diving ( knot tying ). Just wondering if the SEALs on here had any more advice. Anything would be useful. Also is the outcropping of rocks in front of Hotel Del Cornado where you do rock portage? Thank you for any replies. You all have very informative post and i have gotten alot of info from it. And Lord willin i'll be headed to BUD/S in Jan.
