In BUD/s, if you fail the 50 meter underwater test, do you get immediatly dropped from training, or is there a second chance?

If you want to be a SEAL, you need to learn how to look into things...Re-read the FAQ's. Ill give you a hint...Read #20! It covers it ALL in there.....

Ok WE ARE researching this topic. But you guys know all the more detailed answers that we know nothing about. You said that all the info that I needed was in #20, that just tells the details on what happens after you have failed any type of evolution and how the review boards are done. The reason why we're asking about this specific " 50m underwater swim" is that it is classified as a "PASS/FAIL". Which is different to lets say........pool comp. Do you know what I mean? Help us out. Thanks for the help if you can give any more!!
If you read #20, you got your answer. Yes, it is PASS/FAIL.....just like any other evolution, you will go to review boards if you fail and you will get more than a fair amount of chances to pass if you have an off day (or two).....

ok now that that subject is cleared, I have another question on the 4 pass/fail evolutions. The underwater knot tying is quite vague. Any of you SEAL/s, are you allowed to shed some light on the actual description on this evolution. Because just from the title, it sound kinda easy which I know it isn't. Is some catch to it that increases the difficulty like doing it with a blacked out facemask?
Also, what is the detail on the basic life saiving test. Just carrying someone across the distance of the pool?
I don't mean to be askin question after question, I just want to get the little questions out of the way before I go see my motivator tomorrow.. THANKS GUYS

not just yet. Doug, is it a good idea to go farther than 50 meters if you can (while at BUD/s) without endagering yourself. I always hear they are looking for your best effort.

See Thats what You never know about because say you go more than 50 meters. You get Out and the instrucutor starts yelling at you cause they told you to do 50 meters, and they pull the You cant Follow instructions Deal on you.
By the way I really Am Half Fish>

NO...You jump in do a flip underwater, swim across the pool (25 meters), turn around and swim back...touch the wall and surface. It is a PASS/FAIL evolution...not how far can you go. Instructors swim right above you anyway...they would make sure you did not try to go further than 50 Meters......

Doug, ever had to go past 50m while in the teams? I assume that every evolution in BUD/S to be somewhat less demanding than what would be demanded in a real mission right?
Thank you in advance.
