well i got about 8 months befor i leave for basic navy bootcamp. so in the mean time i train with a seal motivator. in my eyes this is the best way to get in shape for bud/s we swim a hell of alot. so anyoen out there thinking about how to prepare for bud/s i say get ahold of a motivator. these are real life seals teaching you stuff that you will need to know. great way to train

Yeah Ross! I see you found your way. This is Jonny from the pool. This is a great site, do some research - you will find every single question you have has already been discussed. You are a good guy and seem new here, so here are some heads up regarding this discussion board; Better hear it from me in one swoop...

1. Do not answer any questions on this board, "Ask a SEAL"
2. SEAL is capitalized
3. ONLY ask SEAL related questions here, there are other forums on this site to post other topics.
4. Put up a Member Profile, people will be more apt to respond to your questions/comments

Hope you told the man I had a meeting. See you Friday.... Jonny

FER SURE!!!
Yeah we should keep in touch before basic!! I'm pretty sure I'll run into you or maybe even be put in the same barracks as you!
you said you swi 1500-2000, how long is that usually? Cause right now I'm swimm 30 mins everyday (except wed) and I increase it 15 min every 2 weeks. I'm not sure what my total distance is but.........What are you doing with yer motivator. Cause the SEAL I'm workin with, we're just running and swimming and I do my PT on my own. The only other PT I do with him is "flutter kicks, good mornin darlins and leg lifts", he keeps stressing STRONG HIP FLEXORS!!!

what's yer A school, mine's 14 weeks in Virginia Beach. IT'd be cool if we're in BUD/s togethor

Hey Guys,
Sorry to drag up this topic after its been dead a while but this is the first chance Ive had to see it. Who here trains in southbridge? I train with Buddy too, just havent been able to get down much because Im up on the NH border and am carrying a double courseload at the moment. I leave for basic on Feb 3 and Im doing GM A school at Great Lakes. Im planning on going down to Horseneck or whatever its called this friday (June 27). Anyone gonna be there? Anyone been to the beach training so far? What can I expect? Thanks. Hope to catch some of you guys there.

If you go to horseneck friday morning, be there 7 am sharp, otherwise you will miss us as we will be off running in the dunes and down the beach and you will have a hard time finding us. When you arrive at Horseneck, look for a Red Jeep, or a Black Lexus SUV. Either one of the two guys in those cars will be able to help you find where to park and go. There will be between 6 and 8 of us there and we have been working out there since the beginning of June. Combination of PT on the beach, long distance runs on the beach, runs threw the dunes and swims alone the shore. Buddy will most likely be there but we will be there even if he is not and we know the workout. If you have worked out with Buddy in Southbridge then you will mostl likely know some of the guys. Long drive from NH though. See yah Friday am if you can make it.

Is there anyone around northern CT or souther MA who wants to work out together? I'm suppose to be meeting with a motivator, Buddy Ketchum, in a couple of weeks, but he's on vacation right now. Has anyone worked with him before? All I've been hearing about him has been great so far.
