I am 29, in good physical shape, even stronger mentally.
I've done college, worked a few years, realizing this may be my last chance to serve my country.
I am interested in either EOD or BUD's, I have completed the 2nd pahse of the Warning order training, I have run marathons, I use to be a semi-pro cyclist. I can do all the physical requirements, situps, pushups, and pullups.
I know that it would boil down to dealing with adversity, stress and emotional and mental issues after this in BUD's.
In a proffesional opinion, from a SEAL what is the likely hood of receiving a waiver?
I have been talking to a recruiter for sometime, some answers are straight some are fishy.
The recruiter has told me that once I go to basic, I will be tested for the 42 minimum pushup/situp and screeening test, then I will be allowed to train with SEAL motivators, is this jiving with what you know?
I have been told that the sooner I enlist the sooner I can get into the program of my liking (EOD), I would liek to bypass A scool for BUD's or is that the incorrect order?
Any one have some sound advice, direction?
Any help would be great!
Thank you
