I have put some post on here, not all are sunshine and candy, my intent is not to bash the Teams. It wasn't all bad. I posted 2 Bud/s stories to kind of lighten up the forum. The best memories of the Teams that I have was of the people itself. Not the higher-ups, not the techs, but the platoon driven Frogmen. Platoon life is where it is at. You develope such a strong bond with you brothers. There are tons of stories to illistraite this, but the most touching time for me is when I was going through my divorce. I lost everything in my divorce. Rock bottom for real. I shacked up in a little 1 bedroom with a platoonmate of mine in Coronado. He had his motorcycle and I had a mountain bike. Things were tough, like every good ex-wife, my ex-wife dug as deep as she could into my pockets. Having 2 kids with her I didn't mind the gold digging as long as it was going to the kids. Not much of it did, but what I had left I turned around and spent on them, so they were taken care of. I had most weekends to spend with my monkeys. Even though I was divorced, down and out, I wasn't alone. Almost every day one of my Frog, or SBU brothers would come over and help out. All kinds of help and love. They cooked meals for me and my kids. Took us to Mc-y-ds. Brought over pots and pans, milk, beer, you name it. I didn't even have to ask for it. They just did it. That is real love.
Lots of people are cool to you when you are on top, but when you are down and out, not many stay. Well my Teammates were right there with me and they still are to this day. Some are still in and some are out, but the love bonds us all. I'm not trying to sound like a hippie or anything.

I don't always agree with Team policy, I think it is mostly out of whack, but most Team Guys have a good heart and help their brothers when they are down and out. I am not sure if SF dudes take care of eachother like that. I think they do, both communities seem to be related in how they take care of eachother. But at the end of the day,

Team Guys take care of Team Guys.

it is the people that make the Teams the Teams.

Excellent post, Clark! I posted something similar about a week ago, and it's already a lost thread.

Great post. This is one of the reasons I want to join the Teams.
