Do the SEAL instucters look at waht you are best at, and then decide waht team you want to be in. And if they see that you have great leadership skills do they put you into higher ranking even though you have lower experience then others. Do they commend you for going the extra mile and doing 60 pushups instead of only 50 or so. I know that BUD/S is hard enough but do they see the extra effort you put into everything. I have been know in school in the pushups competition to do 150 to win even though the next guy only did 100 to get second.

If you continue to put out in BUD/S it will be noticed. BUT if they tell you do 100 pussh ups you do 100, you do 150 and you might pay for that extra 50 for your lack of attention to detail.
As far as getting more rank... nope. Like anything else in the service even those that are lower ranking will get noticed if they are outstanding and put effort into ieverything they do (not just the physical but also everything else) The problem here is that you are about to get into a group of guys that are almost all over acheivers and will put 100% into everything.... so be squared away, do your job and do what your told and worry about those things not about getting some extra rank, with experience and professionalism will come everything else.

In BUD/s when they tell you to do 100.... i'm guessing that's all you'll be able to do..
you'll want to conserve all the energy you can, and doing 150 is not smart.
SOME GUY-
Where/are you a SEAL? If so, what BUD/S Class were you in and what SEAL Team(s) were you with and when?
