I was curious do SEALs get as much land warfare training or more as a Ranger unit etc kinda in a debate with some people over it

LOL This is a common misconception. People think that SEALs only train in or around water. Have you seen the news from Afganistan(a landlocked country) or from Iraq with SEALs rescueing POWs? the Fact is, we spend a lot of time training on land as well as the water. Rangers spend a minimal amount of time around water. If you look at it, our missions are totally different. Rangers secure paremeters for SEALs , Delta, etc, while we go in and kick down the doors. When it comes to taking down a large target, Rangers are the choice force because they have more people. Also our workup (training cycle) Is a lot longer. Before a SEAL platoon deploys, we train over a year and a half together. This is because we work in much smaller units and learn everything about all of our platoon mates. This is how a well oiled machine works. Basically, to answer your question, we spend just as much time on the land than any force out there. We also train in and under the water. We still have our ties to UDTs , and have adpapted the skills of SF.
