I wanted to post this for some time now. There have been several and I mean several posts that are just totally unreal. Ranging from sniper tactics to CQB to ways in getting through traffic. I dont mean to put down some of your interests but realize that there is so much more that is involved then some of the stuff that has been posted. The majority of you guys are in both middle school and highschool whos future plans are trying to become frogmen. All the power to you, but alot of yalls interests are something that you really dont even have to worry about until you make it into the Teams 'if you do'. Maybe you should start directing your thoughts and preperation on the physical and mental aspects. Hopefully you realize that the odds are already against you before you even sign up and get out to BUD/S, but instead of discourageing you, it should make you put down the controllers to SOCOM and go pt your *** off. I know this isnt a stright pt forum, but thats what you should be gearing towards. Blowing away the pft as basic, different pullup routines, maxing out on pushups, making goals physically which in turn will help out your mental game. Everything else, such as sniper schools and HALO training, etc. will all come together once you get past BUD/S. And alot of time, if you did some research you will find alot of the answers to your questions. I'm not trying to sound like I know everything, 'far from it', but I do realize where I should be focusing on. I'm a college student who's plans have always been heading out to Coronado and keeping my mind in neutral and my *** in gear. Some of the best advice that I ever got was, 'dont simulate BUD/S, get yourself ready and everything will fall into place'. For you younger guys that have a few yrs ahead of you, get yourself involved in a teamwork program, sports, student counsel, etc. Make small goals for yourself, ones you can reach really quick, like getting 120 pushups in 2 mins, in doing this, it will give build your mentall toughness, which in turn will allow you to reach those high goals that seem untoachable. We have a great resource here, damn fortunate to have, I know for the older frogs on here, this ability was not offered, so lets keep these future posts on a professional level, if you have a question, look it up for yourself and if you dont end up with anything then post it here, If I were in their shoes I would get old in answering the same questions day in and day out. And in my shoes it gets old reading the same questions day in and day out. Like I said before, I'm not rying to come like a know it all, I'm just someone who wants to save a great resource. Stay focused, train hard, and remember that you can always do one more rep. Thank you for your time, its up to yall if you want to change things around here or let it slide in a downward spiral. And another thing, ITS SEAL not seal.......I honestly dont see why this is so difficult, it really blows my mind, and I thought trying to understand underwater physics was hard, but trying to understand why people still type it wrong goes far above. You show professionalism you will get a professional answer.
