View Full Version : 24/7 On-Call - The Get Up & Go

I realise this is probably fairly lame to ask, but I am curious about it.

I understand that SEALs are on-call 24/7 when they're active. What I was wondering, when you are called, do you have some sort of special clearence to go faster, or do you just drive normally? Do a lot a SEALs get motorcycles to be able to cut through traffic?

No, we are not normally "on-call". The deployed platoons are, once they arrive overseas, but the guys in the states (with a couple of exceptions) aren't on the hook to be launched out at short notice. Even so, we are required to obey all traffic rules, just like everyone else.
