What kinda crazy romance novel talks about a woman falling in love with a seal?

Do you mean SEAL?

Yes I meant NAVY SEAL. I was holding my 7 month old screaming child when i wrote the upper message. Have you ever tried to type with a squirming and screaming child. Not even a NAVY SEAL could do that! AND i admire the hell out of the SEALS but they arent that perfect. NOw i could really use some advice here .......if there is someone willing to give me advice and answeres to my "what if " or "How would you feel in this situation " type of questions.

Maim, SEALs aren't known for being outspoken. That would cause you two problems: Not many SEALs would want to talk to you about their inner-most feelings, and Secondly, giving the SEAL character enough dialog in your novel to create his persona would be inheritly flawed for he doesn't talk that much about himself.

And, for the SEALs & other patrons that will see this, I am not a SEAL. However, I am going to be. I've already joined the Navy under a Gunner's Mate (GM) rating along with the SEAL Challenge Program stipulated within my contract. Its all been signed, and I can't wait to ship out. Why GM? Because it will fit perfectly into my Sniper schooling. Also, what I've shared here above is a stereotype, so there will be exceptions. I met a couple SEALs in my lifetime, and these are the conclusions I was able to draw. My father was in the Navy for 26 years, after which he worked at the Applied Physics Laboratory of the Johns Hopkins University. So, through him, I was able to brush shoulders with some fairly interesting people.

Whether any actual Frogmen or SEALs responds to Bree is one subject.

Another separate subject is to have responses that are rude and from responsdents who have never been in the Service at all. If anyone is trying to help Bree, first help yourself by knowing the difference between talking from a point of experience and talking from a sarcastic point of guesswork knowledge.

My intent was not to be sarcastic or rude. Just trying to share what limited experience I do have.

Two years from now, I'll be able to give this woman a legitimately SEAL persona. No telling if I'd actually decide to do something like that. I'm just trying to help her out. Make a little clearer why no one was jumping at the chance of offer.

I'm not trying to impersonate a SEAL here at all. I made that clear in my post. I have no interest in acting as if I know everything about being/becoming a SEAL, because then I wouldn't be able to ask questions. If I'm totally wrong, I'm sorry about that. But I'm not making my post up out of thin air, and my intent was not to harm anyone's ego.

However, if you want me to shut the hell up about it, fine. My only interest here is to get some questions answered. Just say the word and all that you'll see from me would be just that: Q's waiting for A's.

Well thank you both for replying at least. Well I guess my Character is going to be a real quiet SEAL and maybe shy.
Thank you

Well I guess my Character is going to be a real quiet SEAL and maybe shy.

If I may make a suggestion; if that is you don't mind. If I were in your position, I'd look into as many books about SEALs as possible. There are several books, videos, and newspaper articles about and written by SEALs. I'd also aim to autobiographical books. There are more than a few out there. I'm guessing that those would be emotional/charater gold mines for a writer trying to get inside a SEAL brain. These are only things that I would do, I am NOT a SEAL, I have NEVER been a Navy SEAL. Good luck with the novel, take care,
John.

There is an author names, Suzanne Brockman who writes romance novels about SEALs...never read any of these books, but maybe you should check some of them out-that could perhaps give you some ideas...

I am an avid Suzanne brockman Fan and have been emailing her for weeks. it was her idea to get a SEAL pen pal to read and make suggestions or laugh at my off the wall scenarios ... lol. Although i would think most SEALS would hate to be portrayed as . Oh My ...... shy! lol But who am i to question the phsyce of a SEAL. ( although i happen to think theyre superhero worthy and amzing and oh .... I dont know . DADGUM GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL. OK enough I m getting off my soap box now lol
THank you to all of you who responded with your wonderful ideas and i will do as you suggest ..................... Thank you to all the SEALS to for all they do for our country and to their familys for their sacrifice( I know Im a navywife) lol
