Dear T-86,

Two weeks ago before spring break, Mr. Kenji RASSMUSSEN (I finally recieved his last name), was elected the prestigious position of President of the student senate committe of the University of Hawaii. From what I've read in the University's campus newspaper, it was a very formal ceremony. Lots of people attended. According to the newspaper, Kenji gave a fantastic speach in the University's auditorium about improving the quality of life and educational standards for all of his fellow students. And, I guess like all compulsive liars do, Kenji just could not help but include, in his wonderful speech, tales of his He-Man, daring dule days as a Navy SEAL.

Specifically, in light of the conflict in Iraq, he dazzled the audience of his past experience when he use to conduct super secret and politically controversial operations to weed out terrorists in the middle east. Politically contoversial? Excuse me for my ignorance, but what exactly does that mean? That seems a little vague. Sounds like something illegal.

The newspaper also added that the entire atmosphere in the auditorium was in complete, dead silence when Kenji broke down while reminiscing about a particular operation he and his platoon from SEAL team five(?) conducted at night in the early part of 1990, before the Gulf War. He explained, while tears ran down his face, that he and his platoon were tasked to capture a well known terrorist leader within the intelligence community, from a terrorist group called "Mosa." The operation went bad because of bad intelligence (he was blaming the CIA), and a fire fight broke out at a small aiport between his six man platoon and what he described as a battalion of terrorist (damn! I would be too busy **** ting bricks if I was there!). He said that they were in the middle of the air-field during the fire-fight with no cover, and surrounded by terrorists. Two of his team-mates were killed, one of them being his former student when he was an instructor at the SEAL training in San Diego, and one was seriously wounded. He said the saddest part of the whole ordeal was that his former student who was killed had just past the evaluation period of his career and was officially indoctrinated as a SEAL that day before he died. Wow! How touching! That actually brought tears to my eyes too! When the helicopters finally arrived to evacuate them, they had killed all the terrorists, caputred the leader, and blew up his private jet. Boy, this guy should really think about writing a book one day. Seriously! He sure has an imagination, wouldn't you agree?

Now, I've met a lot true war veterans in my life. I respect them all. I consider them true American heros. Some of them are my dear friends. Some were from the Second World War, some were from the Korean War, but most of these veterans were from the Vietnam era conflict. A lot of them were awarded medals of valor and/or for being wounded in action, such as being awarded the purple heart. But what I have noticed is that these men never bragged nor hardly spoke of their laurels. They not only seemed to be meak, but they also seemed to want to forget about their past. However, they probably would share with each other about events they had experienced in battle, to get a load of their chest that they may have kept for years, and console eachother. But that is as far it goes.

You're gonna love this one T-86! Kenji, with such audacity, was ballzy enough to claim the Navy Cross! He claimed that his CO recommended him the medal for his heroric deads after that particular operation in the middle east. He said he was awarded that medal in a very informal, "Back yard" military ceremony at the Naval base in Virginia. He said that he was still in his, dirty and bloody BDUs at that time. Now, I don't consider myself a military expert, but I did spend four years in the Army, stationed at scholfield Barracks in Hawaii (I'm still in the islands by the way). My MOS was 11-Bravo. That's infrantry for those who may not be familiar with the Army's MOS ratings. I know enough that claiming such medals is a federal offence. I believe there is a detailed legal definition described in the UCMJ on the matter. Also, at the end of the article, I see a picture of Kenji, with the Dean and some other officials. The picture clearly shows on Kenji's suit lapel the golden Navy SEAL badge that I believe that Navy SEALs wear on their uniform. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that a federal offence also?

T-86, have you everheard of Hawaii's Mid-Week magazine? It's a free community magazine that's published and delivered to the community everyweek (I belive it's every week). I heard that some editors from Mid-Week were there taking pictures, and they were so touched by Kenji's testimony, that they wanted to do a special article on him, and considered of placing his picture on the front page from the next addition. I'm not sure, but I heard that addition will be released some time next week or next month. Nevertheless, keep an eye out for it. I know I will.

One last thing T-86. Are you still stationed at Pearl Harbor? The reason I am asking is because it's also been rumored that Kenji was asked to give another speech at the Honolulu Covention Center in downtown Honolulu. Apparently the speech is supposedly about him giving professional input concerning Hawaii's readiness for a terrorist implemented biological or nuclear attack on the islands (that's a good one!) Officials from the National Guard, Honolulu Police Department, Fire Department, and even the Governor Linda Lingle and her Lt. Governor will be their, as it has been rumored. This is an event that I am absolutely sure that you do not want to miss if it does in fact take place. That's why I will be keeping you informed regularly about this event via email. You do know where the Convention Center is don't you? I'll keep in touch!

Sounds like this guy was talking about Patilla Airfield in Panama. At the field four SEALs werekilled and eight were wounded one of the dead had only been a SEAL for about a week I think. Sounds like this guys lying.

The guy you are referring to is TM2 (SEAL) Issac Rodreguez. He was actually a full-fledged SEAL for a few hours before his tragic death. He was awarded his trident oin the plane ride over to Panama. Very sad...

Sounds like this guys lying.

Definately he is lying...
