Hello

I am 13 years old and I am very interested in the navy seals and I want to join them when I get older. And I want to Know how much they get paid and if they have a height requriment and if you are in the navy seals and well were you very strong before you went to buds and if you have to be a big strong person to do it thanks

As far as pay it depends on your rate or rank. It is the same base pay as the rest of the military, but in addition you qualify for jump pay, dive pay, etc. There is no height requirement that I know of and if there is, I've never heard of anyone getting disqualified because of height. You do, however, have your regular height/weight requirements for the Navy in general (not sure what they are exactly). The most disqualifying problem for prospective BUD/S students is eye sight. Check the Navy's page for all the specific BUD/S requirements. As far as being big and stong, no. The people who quit in BUD/S are USUALLY (not always) but USUALLY the big, football player type guys with big egos. You have to be big and strong mentally. As far as physically you do need to be in outstanding shape, endurance is very important, but mentally is the most important. Good luck...

NATHAN - YOU MUST BE STRONG AND MEAN AS A SNAKE. BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE F FOOT 1 OR 6 FOOT 4 (WE CALL THE SHORT GUYS SMIRFS IN BUD/S). AND YOU DON'T GET PAID **** REGARDLESS OF WHAT SIZE YOU ARE.
