I know this isn't really a question about navyseals and stuff, but this guy i know said that delta force is sort of something you try out for...only the real good shots can get in? is this true or what?

I don't understand what you mean by "sort of something you try out for", but I'll tell you a bit about what I know (keep in mind that this is all from what I have read). The average Delta Force guys average about 10 years in the army before joining the unit. About twice a year, the administrative staff from Delta Force will look at the army's records of Ranger and Green Beret sergeants and captains with outstanding records. Depending on the needs of Delta, they will look for the same qualities in other soldiers from other units such as communications and explosive ordinance. From there, the prospective Delta recruit will then receive a letter with a number for them to call. Then, the process proceeds from there. I don't know anything about the good shots, but the Delta operators do train everyday by shooting about 500 rds. of ammunition to keep their skills honed. Hope I answered your question.
LIKE THE OLD SEAL TEAM SIX, YOU HAVE TO VOLUNTEER AND GO THROUGH WHAT IS CALLED A SELECTION COURSE. FOR TEAM SIX IT IS/WAS SIX MONTHS LONG AND ONLY THE BEST WERE SELECTED AND THE BEST MADE IT. FOR DELTA, I THINK YOU HAVE TO COME OUT OF THE RANGERS, SF OR INTEL COMMUNITIES IN THE ARMY AND THEN GO TO SELECTION. THERE ARE SOME GOOD BOOKS ON DELTA THAT YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT - SEE THE BOOKS IN THE STORE OF THE WEB SITE, CHECK THE BOOK LIST ON THE SITE - OR DO A SEARCH AT AMAZON...OR BETTER YET ASK TRACY WARRINGTON IN THE "ASK A WARRIOR - SF SOLDIER" MESSAGE BOARD.
