When I was in that graduation zone I would have liked a gift to recognize my accomplishment. Good idea on your part.
I would have like something of my own, small, that I can carry on my person regardless of the training or combat that I may foresee:
1. A small bible with your cousin's name embossed upon it.
2. Nice Swiss Army knife.
3. If your cousin is a Christian, a Cross on a necklace. He can wear it or have it on his person.
4. A slim, fold out wallet for carrying approx 3 photographs.
The most prized item I and my Team Mates wanted in our day, and we carried it around our neck, was a tiny can opener to attack our C-rations. Each 6 pack of C-rations had one.
And send your cousin my blessing and support.

Never leave home without one. LOL We used to call them P-38s. Don't know why, unless that was it's "technical designation". Many other applications besides opening cans.
