When i do my push-ups, I sometimes have to rest for a second at the top. Should i lock my elbows when i hit the top of the push-up or not? I know it would be better if i didn't but if I do rest for a second is that really bad?

I've always heard you shouldn't lock your elbows, so i wouldn't recommend it. Also try doing pushups as fast as you can. The slower you go, the more gravity affects your strength. If you want to increase your pushups do super sets.
