View Full Version : Question for a SEAL or anyones opinion feel free please..About rates that have more advantage.......

Now i know that you must go to an "A" school after bootcamp. After the "A school" then you would go to buds if you did indeed pass the challenge. Now does any "A" school have a advatage over the other, say for example Master at Arms(military police) are required to be in good physical condition and do PT more often than bootcamp ( from what i was told by someone that just got out of "A" school for master at arms) Now since they did more PT and what not and probably did more on thier own time, would they have a slight advantage as far as the running and physical part since they are required to do that at their "A" school. I havent checked into other rates but this was the best example i could think of. Im assuming they would have no advantage in the swimming part since they rarely swim in "A" school if at all. IF you could please reply that would be helpful. Thanks

Up until the time you start BUD/S, whatever A school you choose, it iwll be prtimarily your responsibility to get in some swimming and stay in shape on your own time.

Whatever A school you go to you'll be working out with a SEAL getting in shape anyways (unless you go to like freakin Mississippi for A school where there are no SEALs). MA would be a good rating though, that would be a good choice. Might want to look at Intelligence Specialist too.
