I'm currently training to go to BUD/S. And well I'm good with the pushups somewhere around 80 now, pullups I can get a little over 20, situps I can get 100, but running. Ahhh. Im not a strong runner and was wondering if any of you had any recomendations for me. If I can't make my run times then everything else I can do means nothing. I'd appreciate all the help I need some. The boots are hell but I have to make it.

i on the other hand am. if you have a little while before attending bud/s i would recomend a get fit quik program that my schools cross-country team uses. its basically for slackers who dont train over the summer. this wont build you a strong running base or any thing but it will help with yur times.

keep increasing the distance every week with a two mile time trial every two weeks and you should be fine. you might be saying how is running distance going to help my 1.5 mile time.
well more than you know. the world record holder for the 800 meters runs 20miles every saturday. (lso during track season the cross country team from first semester carries the track team every meet and were usually faster than the sprinters!)

well thats my two cents, hope this helps

This is very true but u could also just run when u feel like running i joined the swim team beacuse i was not to good with swimming ( i made it to states that year only one year one the swim team i was really good ) as for running i am like u but i just ran when i felt like it and now i can run 50 miles a week ( it hurts like hell after u have stopped but i know i am getting stronger).
