I was watching the discovery speical, do the instructors become less abusive after hellweek i mean they know u made it do they show they r impressed? And on the 5.5 mile swim r the instructors with the class all the way ( is it a over the horizine swim, i mean does the class swim so far that they cant see the shore.) and on the 14 mile rum is there a time limit ?

I watched the show myself and they are just like any branch of the military.Although the training is different
they really want you to suceed.One of the instructor during hell week said they are really trying to get them
through it.And they gave Bishoff 6 trys at dive phase plus they rolled him back.I don't think they were abusive
at all they just want to see if you are comitted to the program and most are not.

I will do that next time sorry ( on number 3 over the horizion) , i mean do the trainees swim so far out at sea on that 5.5 mile swim that they cant see that shore ( after about 3 miles u cant see shore anymore , at least when u r on the ocean).

Easy there Killer. First of all, you popped off to a guy whose screen name alone would be reason to think that over twice. He may or may not be, but I certainly would not bite the hands that feed you information, especially if it turns out to be a reliable source. Second, you stated in the post prior to this one that you don't think your questions are stupid, then have the balls to make a statement on a subject you obviously know nothing about.

For your information, yes, you can still see the beach from more than 3 miles out to sea. As a matter of fact, you can see much further. Keep in mind that some of the people who read these and post here probably know a little more about the topics than you do. Perhaps you should talk less and listen more.

That was very intersting what was it u where trying to do ?? What do you expect their Navy Seals the best and brightest they go through hell for a reason to make them better at whtat they do. Also they care so much they go through all that pain for this country. EmbraceTheHate is right, don't insult someone and ask them for information at the same time. If you were standing at sea level and trying to view something else at sea level, the farthest you would be able to see would be around 20 miles, because you can't see around the curvature of the earth. I can't remember the exact distance, but it is a hell of a lot further than 3 miles.
