View Full Version : G-Shock Watch..Strange...
Ok, this is weird. I could not find my G-Shock watch (the one that was issued to me) for awhile. I thought I had lost it for a few weeks. Anyway, I found it today and was thinking how weird this is. We got the 1199/DW-6600 model. Did everyone else get the same? If so, check this out: the face at the bottom says Japan, The clip on the band says Indonesia and the back of the watch says Made in Korea. WTF is up with that. Made all over the world, used in the USA. *LOL* I just was thinking about it and thought Id throw up this post. Was bored. sorry *lol*......

So basically what your saying is that the only piece of the watch that is still in somewhat working order is the piece made in japan.

1199 DW6600 here Doug, and made in all the same damn places. But you know, it has lasted countless dives and is still the most reliable watch(for the money) out there. Either that, or since I just get a new one if it breaks I really don't pay attention lol.

Agreed. Just like the LAR V, and MP-5, which are definitely NOT made in the US......Gotta use the best gear you can get your hands on (or afford).

I read somewhere that the Special Warfare people have there stuff made all over the place and one reason is so that you not attached too one country if discovered.IE Boots in france, bdu's in some other place... etc etc. Who knows thats probably just more stupid civilian crap that im being fed.
Does that come with a built in parachute and a decoder?...LOL
Absolutely! It also comes with a special little LCD screen and video game controls so you can play SOCOM when you get worried about missing it out in the field...*LOL*

Excellent post. Every country goes with a SEAL on operations via the gear they take with them.
My Team was not blessed with the same dive watch as you. We had to carry a Sun Dial with us. And for decoding the SOCOM games like the big guys we had our Orphan Annie Decoder rings. Really cool.
