First of all, I am a perfectly ignorant average American who doesn't know the first thing about combat, SEALs, firing a weapon...and will perfectly understand your replies, good or bad. I'm just hoping that if a SEAL responds, take the question like a normal, everyday conversation with a buddy.
First question: Do you/SEALs like to play SOCOM: US Navy Seals on PS2? If yes, I need some help on a mission.
Second question: Do young prospects hoping to become a SEAL, want to become a SEAL because of what the public knows about them? I.E., covert ops, silent throat slashing ambushes, weaponry, and stealth. OR, do these young guys actually know what they're getting into? I have to say that what you folks do is far from average, should be kept secretive, and is probably much more intense than what we, the public really know about. With that said, I can understand how discussions about SEALs can become "touchy", as I believe one of the moderators put it.
Third question: What percentage of your time are you "on the job"?
I'm 32, and you ask "what the hell kind of questions are these"? Right? Well, these are probably just three of a thousand questions I have, and I had to just pick three. Anymore, and I probably will be removed as a member.
I have much interest in your line of work, I don't want to be a SEAL, I just have alot of respect for what you do, and the thousands of others in the military, do for me to live with freedom. I can play video games, ride mountain bikes, take vacations, call in sick...I think I owe some small thanks to anyone in the armed forces for allowing me these luxuries.

Just what i thought, your capacity to think outside of your normal realm of duty doesn't exist. Would you rather talk about killing people? Knitting? You obviously love what you do/did, you love your country right? Is your ego that exploded that you can't communicate with normal people?
I am really sorry I almost wasted your time, I really am. I am also sorry to know that a normal person like myself doesn't exist in your world.
And for you confuksion, or whatever...I wouldn't say that all average people are ignorant. I am ignorant to the SEAL world, and was making that known, rather than trying to act like I know what I'm talking about...like alot of people probably do here.
Have a good day.

Hmmm? Nope I don't want to talk about killing people, you are the one talking about a video game and comparing it to real SEALs life, as if the actual combat they encounter is just a game... Games are nothing compared to real war, and asking a SEAL to help you on a mission on SOCOM SEALS for PS2 is not the point... It's a different ball game. Sure I haven't been there and done that, but read through the forums and SEALs have made comments about this.
First question: Do you/SEALs like to play SOCOM: US Navy Seals on PS2? If yes, I need some help on a mission.
Real SEALs is nothing like a game...
You obviously love what you do/did, you love your country right? Is your ego that exploded that you can't communicate with normal people?
My ego exploaded? lol funny stuff... I was calm.
And for you confuksion, or whatever...
Now whose the child with the name calling? And I got a ego problem....?
So sit back think of some way to comeback on this. If it interest me the slightest I'll reply. If not you bore me :D

answer: Probably, and they find out what they are really getting into during training.
Third question: What percentage of your time are you "on the job"?
