Exposing Phonys Question

Just a quick question for Wetwash or any of the other authentiSEAL members. How do you guys go about exposing a phony once you find out where they are? Do one of you actually show up at his doorstep?

I work with someone who claims to be an officer in the Navy, claims he was one of the 1st 50 SEALS, so on and so on. Even said that he has a red line phone to the President of the United States!! I knew from the get go that he wasn't as I have two brother in laws who are SEALS and they checked up on this faker. He still continues to go on with his bull ****, although since I have questioned him on things he doesn't say anything to me. The authenticators have him on the web site. I would LOVE to see the proper authorities come knocking on his door. Thanks for any answer.

AuthentiSEALS is made up of about 8 guys who are all former SEALs..We have a database that includes NCDU, UDT and SEALs from WW2 to present..On our website, www.AuthentiSEALs.org we have a form for the pulic to fill out to verify someones claims.
We get requests , from wives, girlfriends, Vets Organizations, Police.. federal Agencies...all sorts of folks.
all we do initially is respond to the Request.. saying yes or no the person is or is not a graduate of BUD/S or UDTra. The information is the put on fil;e, if we get mulitple reports on a person then we attempt to aquire a photo of the individual and post the information on the Wall of Shame...
If the person is active duty we contact his command. we have had many active duty people ruin their careers making false claims..
If the Phony violates the law.. Wearing unathorized medals, uniform etc.. it goes to the FBI..About three times a year this effort lands us in court as wittnesses against various scumbags.
We respond to 20 to 70 requests per day...If the media reports anything about us, it skyrockets for a few days...the biggest weekend we had in the 8 yrs I have been doing this was 1300.
To answer your question.. we do not hunt these guys down. We provide the information and what the reporting person does with it is their business.. AuthentiSEALS has to stay with in the law.. We cannot be making threats or following folks around.. There are stalking laws for people that do that. What we would like to do, and what we can legally do are two very different animals.


This is all done voluntarily.. our site and the phone calls, all of this is done out of pocket.. we recieve no compensation.

Cool thanks for the Info. I was just curious as to how that was ran. A friend of mine ( I dare say) lol got busted by authentiSEAL a few years ago. George Hardy. He has some hellacious claims let me tell you. LOL, anyways thanks for the info. Dan out.......
