Hey guys.....
The SEALs could probably answer this one the best being in the Special Ops community, but I recently heard that the SAS were more highly trained and "better" than the SEALs. I kinda doubt that they are better. I tend to believe though that maybe they have their advantages and disadvantages as do all the Special Forces..... maybe someone could enlighten me a little better........

Your comparing Army Spec Forces vs. Naval Special Ops, both excel in their jobs. We always viewed Navy SEALs as "JEDI's" in the U.S. armed forces, i.e.(can walk on water, levitate off the ground, move objects w/ their mind). I'll tell you a bad mutha foreign Naval Spec Ops though, the IDF "BAT MEN" (Shayetet 13), these guys are stunning.

ok, question. i thought i knew this but after reading an earlier post i realized i was wrong and did some research. but let me get this straight, SBS = SEALS. Delta Force = SAS, kinda broad i know, but thats an accurate generlization right?? i originally thought SBS was like our SBS, little boat drivers. Am i right to take it that way now?
Collette,
Here, let me help.
SEALs=US Navy Sea Air Land forces
Delta Force=US Army Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta
SAS=British Special Air Service (Regiment) (Brit Special forces)
SBU=US Navy Special Boat Units(LOL little boat drivers, Skims?)
SBS=This I'm not sure on but don't the Brits call their SBU's Special Boat Squadrons?
Special Forces=Us Army Gren Berets
STU=Special tactics Units=Us Air Force(Just reading a book by Col Joh Carney Jr) not bad for Zoomies LOL
Hope that helps

Yea, you got it..pretty much...SBS=Special Boat Service vs. SAS Special Air Service..
Actually the SEALs are "derivatives" of them both in conjunction w/ the Italian demo squads from WW2...
