Hi. im curious about the bud/s training. When you start the bud/s training if you fail one of the pass of fail tests such as drownproofing, or if you dont complete a drill in the required time do they kick you out. I personally plan on joining up for the SEALs after college but i am trying to prepare now and get on top of what i need to do.
DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU FAIL. USUALLY YOU GET A SECOND TRY - EVEN WITH DROWNPROOFING. IF YOU HAVE A STRING OF FAILURES YOU WILL BE DROPPED.

Again, Mark is quite correct. In an earlier post I stated I was near unconscious on a long run. The OIC of the Training Unit stopped me, took my pulse, told me to sit down. I thought I was washed. When I became aware of my surroundings I got up on my own and ran the rest of the drill. Some drills are as much heart as braun. But you don't quit.
But had I of become unaware on several more runs I would have been washed. Training is not only to fill the trainees with knowledge and endurance, but also to weed out those who are unlucky enough to not have it physically or mentally.
But to help all as they look in their mirror, I have never been able to look at a Trainee and tell if he was going to make it. Size, muscles, height, bragging created no index on who would be there at the end. It was in the mind of the Trainee.

okay thank you for your time. i really want to be a SEAL it is a dream of mine and i think it is attainable for me but i just wanted to make sure that there is some room for failure, you know, cause it is quite intimidating the things that you are required to do.

I believe that you have to fail at somepoint, you can only learn from faliure. Thats what i think.
