I was just curious how SEALS on this board adjusted to a civilian life? Coming out of the TEAMs with a "have to win" attitude and slowing down to day/day regular chores. Splitting paths with teammates etc... Did/could any of you find satisfaction sitting behind a desk and doing paper work? In my mind I would think being in a SEAL team would physically/psychologically scar you. (In a good way/bad way) Was there ever a feeling as if you didn't quite fit in? I understand being humble is an important trait of a SEAL, but isn't there a feeling of accomplisment and superiority within you? I know this is a corny questions, but I'm just curious as to what or how everyone is doing in life after the TEAMs. Thanks guys

Excellent question. In the world of accomplishment there are Kings and King makers. It is the same in the SEAL world. When the time comes to reenter the civilian world and the greatest task is to fit into another career, it is that deep id, the very core of the SEAL that will urge his path. He may return to the risk field of International Security or Deep Sea diving/repair. Or, he will take up a career that requires a desk as a tool. Perhaps for salary or for self employment.

Some great warriors require a leader to go forth. Others lead themselves. The same in the SEAL world.
