can you be a SEAL with a GED? And is it true that the military excepts only 3 people with a GED from each branch each year?

No, thats a line of bull **** . I have a HSE/GED and got in fine. Little peice of advice though. Go to college and get 15 college credits and it counts as a High School Diploma. When you go to college take classes that will help you out on your ASVAB test. I got a awesome score on my ASVAB because of it. Also, going to college and getting used to taking test and studying weill help you out in the military. A lot of people join who havent taken a math test for 3-5 years and dont score as high as people who are in college or just out of high school. If you join with a GED only, you will have to retake the GED test. I know the Navy and the Army will let you in with a GED, but I dont know for the Marines or Airforce, but I think its the same way. Magnet, thanks a lot man… some Marine recruiter was trying to tell me that, I didn’t think it was true but It got me worrying. I already took the ASVAB, and pretty much kicked its ***, they tell me I can be anything I wanted to in the military, so I don’t have to worry much about that… but yeah I might just takes some college classes and get my diploma… thanks for the advise…

Another thing. Alot of people knock a GED and think it's not that great. I have a GED and doing fine with it. I was really impressed on how close the actual test were to the real high school graduation test. I had to take it when the GED changed last year in the begining. It has really got tough, but if I had it to do over again I'd got my diploma.. You can do just about anything technical with a GED.
