I am starting the Navy SEAL workout thing this Mon. and i was wondering if you could substitute crunches for the situps? It would be great to have this answered as soon as possible since I'll be doing it the late morning. Thanks

Theres two differences between situps and crunches. #1 Situps work out your whole abs. Crunches target the lower area. #2 BUD/s uses situps, not crunches as I know of. I'd recommend doing your scheduled situps and go the extra and do some crunches. I'm also doing the SEAL workout and I love it. Stick with it.

the best way i know of to get comfortable with doing calistenics like push ups and sit ups on a regular basis to the point to where its fun to do them is just to get down and do them. pretty soon it'll not be hard at all. thats when you start to get in shape and you push yourself harder to get into better shape until that gets easy and so on. i dont believe you can ever reach peak phisical condition, but you just make you self better as you evolve to the workout.

Doing calisthenics never gets "fun"...
