Somalia help or back off?

Ever since I saw the movie BLACK HAWK DOWN I have been learning whatever I can about the incident in Somalia .I intend to write a paper on it, and would appreciate anyone's opinion on wether or not U.S. troops should have been involved.

P.S. Because I think all man was created in God's image I see everyone as brothers and sisters. And believe that going in to help and resulting in an incredibly nasty firefight, is better than sitting back and doing nothing. But then again I wasn't there.

I agree with you and believe that U.S. troops should have been involved. It is wrong to just ignore what is going on over there like starvation being caused by warlords. I just think that it was a huge mistake to leave because now they are just as bad off as they were in the early 90's.
