Helium....

Here's a question for anyone who might have a preference...

I am currently training in Nitrox and my dive Instructor is talking about using Helium. Our dives are going deeper and deeper (My deepest dive is 50 meters)...

I've heard good and bad things about it....

What is tyhe purpose of helium in this case?? Are you gonna have it instead of air?? I'd NOR recomend that :P

Not compressed air -- we are training in deep diving...We are using Nitrox.

I have used Trimix (which includes helium) but not helium alone.

I'm certainly not asking a definitive question here...I wouldn't run out and try something which had been suggested over the internet...I'm just asking for comments from people who might be experienced....
